SURREY – Six new DriveBC webcam images are now live in Surrey. Motorists can now check road and traffic conditions on King George Boulevard at Highway 99 looking north, south, west, and east. There are also DriveBC webcam images of Highway 99, north of 32nd Avenue diversion, looking north and south. The cameras are part of the DriveBC network that allows drivers to check traffic and weather conditions when planning to safely travel BC roads. Benefits: Motorists can check these new
WELCOME TO SURREY
SURREY – The City of Surrey is receiving $667,000 in WelcomeBC funds as part of the Welcoming Communities Program (WCP) within the Ministry of Jobs, Tourism and Skills Training. The funding will be used for local settlement services to support the integration of immigrants in B.C. Quotes: “Surrey’s multicultural community relies on the services provided to newcomers. Without these services new immigrants would have a difficult time integrating to Canadian life and an even tougher time entering the labour market.
