Government Links and Resources:
Medical Services Plan (MSP) / Health Insurance of BC - insures medically required services provided by physicians and supplementary health care practitioners, laboratory services and diagnostic procedures.

BC Pharmacare - helps British Columbians with the cost of eligible prescription drugs and designated medical supplies.

ICBC - Driver Licensing, auto claims, insurance and registration.

Welcome BC: Immigration Services - Government of British Columbia’s official site for Immigration and Welcoming Communities.

Families First - B.C. Ministry of Children and Family Development’s website providing a wide range of programs, services and resources designed to support children, youth and their families.

Ministry of Housing and Social Development/Persons with Disabilities - useful information to help you learn more about the resources available and how to access them, as well as disability assistance and eligibility criteria  for Persons with Disability Designations.

Applying for BC Employment and Assistance (BCEA) – information on applying for Income Assistance, including eligibility and an Income Assistance Estimator – to help determine if you are eligible and what you might receive.

Community Services: 
South Fraser Community Services Society (SFCSS) – a non-profit, non-government, charitable organization, to provide services to the residents of the South Fraser Region

Sources - a community-based non-profit organization which, since 1978, has been providing a wide range of services to individuals and groups in White Rock, Surrey and Delta.

Newton Advocacy Society (NAGS) – is a non-profit, charitable society committed to the empowerment of individuals and families through education, advocacy and the creation of supportive, community based networks.

Alexandra Neighbourhood House - As a unique neighbourhood house that is rooted in a heritage facility, Alexandra Neighbourhood House provides programs, services, facilities and  community-building events that address the evolving needs and aspirations of  diverse people on the Semiahmoo Peninsula and beyond.

Options Community Services Society – a non-profit society and registered charity committed to empowering individuals, supporting families and promoting community health through a wide variety of programs and projects.  The society also runs the Newton Family Resources Program.

Education:
School District #36 - the largest district in B.C. and one of few growing districts in the province. The school district includes 124 schools located in Surrey and White Rock, and offer a wide range of education and support programs to students of all ages.

Surrey Public Library - with branches in areas including Newton and Semiahmoo, the public library provides and promotes access to local and global information and ideas, encourages literacy and support lifelong learning for all Surrey residents.

Kwantlen Polytechnic University (Surrey and Cloverdale Campuses) – offers bachelor’s degrees, associate degrees, diplomas, certificates and citations in over 135 programs, as well as over 25 services to help students succeed in their studies.

SFU – Surrey Campus - a 30,000 square-metre architectural masterpiece located at Central City in Surrey.  This local campus offers programs and courses in applied sciences, arts and social sciences, business administration, communication, art, and technology, education, mathematics, and science, as well as credit and non-credit continuing education courses and programs.

Health:
Fraser Health - health authority providing a wide range of integrated health care services to more than 1.5 million people living in communities stretching from Burnaby to White Rock to Hope.

Immigration:
PICS – Progressive Intercultural Community Services - a registered non-profit society, charitable organization and United Way member agency seeking to build a healthy and just society by serving the multicultural community. PICS is involved with many successful job fairs and provides employment programs, English Language Services for Adults (ELSA) and assists with seniors housing.

S.U.C.C.E.S.S. - is a multi-service promoting the well being of all Canadians and immigrants.  They encourage participation in the community through delivering services in five major areas: social services, employment services, business and economic development services, training and education services, and health services.
